Ime Akpan is a Lagos-based journalist with over 20 years experience in print and online media. He holds a BA in Communication Arts/ English from the University of Uyo and a Masters in International Relations and Strategic Studies from the Lagos State University.
He has served variously as the correspondent for The Source and The News magazines, Leadership and Blueprint newspapers, reporting politics and business. Between 2006 and 2017, he was the aviation correspondent for Leadership and Blueprint during which he attended aviation conferences in Ghana, Ethiopia and Namibia.
He has attended several management courses at the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria and the International Aviation College (IAC), Ilorin. Currently, he is the publisher of NewsGazette – www.newsgazette.com.ng – a general interest online newspaper.
